CREATING RESULTS PRESENTS AT INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS SHOW Our very own Todd Harff, company President, and Kathy East, Vice President of Client Services, were speakers at the 2007 International Builders’ Show® (IBS), February 7-10, in Orlando. Sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), IBS is the premier event of the home building industry with more than 100,000 housing professionals from across the country in attendance. Todd spoke in two panel discussions: “The 50+ Community Vision - It's All About Lifestyle!” and “Ask the Experts - Marketing Active Adult Communities.” Kathy was part of a breakfast discussion sponsored by the NAHB's 50+ Housing Council. The topic was “Are Market Conditions Affecting the Active Adult Market?” One of the topics discussed was how to create lifestyle in very small communities. She recommended looking outside the immediate community to create partnerships with the town or area businesses and hiring an activity director, even on a part time basis, to get social activities started. During the conference, Todd and Kathy conducted informal, complimentary ad reviews for various Active Adult communities. Lisa Vega, Marketing Programs Manager, also attended the conference. |

A RECIPE FOR RESULTS PAWS FOR A CAUSE A successful event builds community goodwill (and marketing awareness)! The Client: The Ocean House; luxury hotel residences in the charming summer resort community of Watch Hill, RI. The Challenge: How to drive pre-sales during a short summer selling season when the lot currently features nothing but grass and a lovely view of the Atlantic Ocean. The Solution: Bring on the hounds! The Ocean House sales and marketing team had an inspiration: host an event on-site that would benefit a charity, get prospects excited about the opportunity, and generate goodwill in the community. The Result: The “Watchminster Dog Show” – themed after the famous Westminster dog competition – drew more than 72 dogs and their humans to the Ocean House site. Money raised through direct donations benefited a local kennel. Every dog won a customized “1st place” ribbon (in Ocean House’s signature color of yellow) in categories such as “best outfit,” “best jumper” and “dog/human look-a-likes.” The event set the town buzzing … howling? … and generated a significant number of leads for the sales team. Creating Results worked with the team to provide design and production of on-site signage and sales kits, as well public relations and event support. |
